CELEBRATIONS

It is the oldest one in Cartagena and it is held on the Sunday before the Incarnation festivity.

The Virgin of Solitude is carried from the church of apostle Santiago in the neighbourhood of Santa Lucía - where it was taken the week before - until the sanctuary located on top of Calvario mountain.

During the pilgrimage the participants are doing a via crucis and then hold a service upon their arrival to the hermitage. The event ends with a meal.
